Press Reviews in Berlin
"Susanne Lothar and Ulrich Mühe play (…) the dreadfully agonized couple that torments each other with nightmarish intensity. Nicole Mosleh tells a demonic, crazy and murderous love tragedy atmospherically dense and with treacherously beautiful images. There is no doubt - this film belongs on the big screen!" (Irene Bazinger, Berliner Zeitung) for full review in German click here
"A Kammerspiel almost only about two people that takes place the tightest of spaces and that is nevertheless nerve-wracking." (Peter Zander, Berliner Morgenpost) for full review in German click here
"Hell belongs to the couples."
Lothar and Mühe have not been an ordinary couple: never the terror of directors, but always astonished about how much terror they could arouse in each other, to one another and with each other. Two experts for couple's hells. Nicole Mosleh (…) wrote a Kammerspiel for a woman, a man, a southern country home at a lake and a deep-frozen hand in the freezer. One thinks one knows how films look like that feature cut-off hands in freezers. This one is different. (…) One more time we get to see two paleontologist of the soul. Once more they show us that ordinary faces are just masks for what lies beneath - the unplumped depths of love and of the humand soul." (Kerstin Decker, Der Tagesspiegel) for full review in German click here
"In Nicole Mosleh's debut feature Muehe and Lothar represent one last time a couple that gazes into the abyss. Quiet and with might and main, in your face and full of tenderness. Go see it!" (Ulrich Amling, Tagesspiegel) for full review in German click here

Premiere @ Internationale Hofer Filmtage
The premiere at the Hofer Filmtage has been a great success! All three screenings were sold out; many who came to see the film couldn't get in since the cinema was overcrowded. Pictures of the premiere can be seen here:
The third screening on October 31 was mainly for the local audience, (almost) no professional viewers - the acid test for any film. The audience was glued to the screen, an excited discussion followed the screening and continued even outside of the cinema. It was a terrific feeling to see a "regular" audience receive the film well.
A special thank you goes out to Susanne Lothar who cancelled a production in order to be able to attend the premiere! Many thanks also to Gesine Cukrowski, Waldemar Kobus and Joanne Glaesel who came to Hof to attend the premiere and the screenings. The same goes for the numerous crew and post production members - thank you all!!!
Since the official release date is yet to be determined, there were not many film reviews. Two however, wrote about the premiere. These are the links:
